I think I must be crazy

My brain is giving way

To all these thoughts dismissed before

As visions like my grave

Voices that were soft before

Acknowledged yet ignored

Now beat against my reason's edge

Like waves upon the shore

If life is just the interlude 'tween death and being born

These not so subtle whispered tips are nothing more than foam

I never took direction well misguided as I am

These voices point and here I sit acting like it's still my plan

If all that I am doing is interpreting another's will

Acting out another's pain...It shouldn't feel this real
