How can I tell you I love you

When you know it all too well

If I said it to you every day

You'd think I was trying to cast a spell

Say it's a manner of speaking

Manners only get in the way

Say it when I'm drinking

It doesn't mean anything the next day

I never wanted to show it

I won't deny that I failed

You inspired my emotions

Till my devotion was revealed

So I'll never tell you I love you

Let our fates remain unsealed

I'll try to be there when you need me

You'll always know the way I feel

Words fall like teardrops

From an ever deepening well

A reflecting pool of wonder

Where true feelings are distilled
