Rainbow

There's a rainbow in the sky

On a sidewalk stand I

I'm a working man

Could a rainbow understand

Under ceilings, undermine

Out of sounds, out of time

Cross the road, cross the plan

Friends don't know what they demand

Take the crossroad to the scribe

False apostle takes a bribe

Put the money in his hand

Watch it run into the sand

I can't run I can't hide

Climbing walls of suicide

Set apart I stand alone

Will I stop or must I go

Can't escape the telephone

First a ring and then a drone

Send me away, keep me home

Too sick today, send a clone

Scandal handled, blank affair

Check it out, or do you care

Who would say who holds the stone

To delay is to condone
