Another night in Duesville

I didn't know that I was going

To the same place I had been

To have the same conversation

Just someone else on the other end

I don't accept the message

That there's something I can't win

I don't accept your standards

Or your judgment of my sins

The first time I got discouraged

Still eats away at me

If you can't change who you are

You better change who you want to be

Now I understand

It's just a part of the grind

Just another night in Duesville

For the honing of the mind

Attitudes and platitudes

Can be so condescending

Happiness is like Ice Cream

It's always melting.
